What is a HydroPeel?
A HydroPeel is an advanced treatment option that can be added to your HydroDerm Facial. An enzyme peel or a chemical acid peel is added for double exfoliation of skin layers to help correct more severe acne, deeper pigmentation, or more advanced signs of aging. The first enzyme exfoliant and hydrodermabrasion loosens dead skin, excess oil and other debris while simultaneously deep cleansing pores. Then a peel and second hydrodermabrasion removes additional damaged, outer skin layers to accelerate revealing the healthier skin underneath. Finally your renewed skin is bathed in vitamin-enriched hydration and custom-blended corrective serums.
What is a HydroLED?
A HydroLED is another advanced treatment option that can be added to your HydroFacial. An IonActive mask is applied, used to treat specific concerns such as dehydration, pigmentation, acne, or aging skin. Also included is a 15-20 minute LED light therapy session to accelerate healing & rejuvenation.
What is the difference between MicroDermabrasion and HydroDermabrasion?
MicroDermabrasion is performed on dry skin and uses a diamond pumice tip to provide maximum-strength physical exfoliation by sanding the outermost skin layer. It’s best performed on heavy dead skin, rough thick skin, severely pitted skin or deeply pigmented skin. A Dry MicroDermabrasion may scratch the epidermis and may cause temporary redness or an uncomfortable sunburn sensation afterward. HydroDermabrasion uses a diamond tip as well, but also uses saline water or other serums as an exfoliating and cleansing medium. It is gentler than MicroDermabrasion and is more suitable for those with sensitive skin conditions. Throughout the process, each hydro-tip glides along the skin without friction and irritation as it exfoliates dead skin cells, painlessly extracts blackheads, and infuses skin with vital nutrition and moisture. Unlike a MicroDermabrasion, HydroDermabrasion does not produce heat or inflame the skin, so HydroDermabrasion can be used safely and painlessly to treat acne sufferers and to exfoliate rosacea and to correct other sensitive skin conditions.
Detox: a hydro-jet and vacuum thoroughly deep clean pores by flushing out excess oil & impurities.
What is a HydroFacial?
A HydroDerm Facial is a Wet Microdermabrasion treatment. It is also referred to as a HydroDermabrasion or HydroFacial. This non-invasive procedure utilizes hydro-technology to exfoliate, polish, detoxify, rehydrate and replenish your skin. It delivers immediate results without discomfort, irritation, or downtime. This multi-step procedure uses a series of hydro-tips to perform different functions. The Hydro-Derm Tip has an abrasive edge which gently exfoliates and buffs the skin with each pass. The Hydro-Extraction Tip has a unique spiral design that creates a vortex which is effective in dislodging blackheads and flushing impurities to deep clean pores. The Hydro-Fusion Tip infuses skin with Hyaluronic Acid, rejuvenating by restoring hydration and plumping. The hydro-tips are able to more effectively deliver therapeutic ingredients deeper into the skin, resulting in higher levels of cell absorption. Treatment serums that contain vitamins, antioxidants and anti-aging peptides are then massaged into the skin. Our serums do not just sit on top of the epidermis, like a lotion or cream; Our serums readily absorb into the skin, healing skin from the inside out. This rejuvenating exfoliation treatment is soothing, refreshing, non-irritating and delivers immediate results without downtime.
Am I a candidate for a HydroDerm Facial?
A HydroFacial is suitable for all skin types, including thin or aging skin, ethnic skin, dry or oily skin. Even the most sensitive skin easily tolerates a HydroFacial. Other skin conditions such as psoriasis and eczema can benefit from this treatment as well. Our skin care therapist will tailor the corrective serums to treat your unique skin condition.
How long does the treatment take?
A HydroDerm session takes approximately 45-60 minutes. Any add-on optional treatments will add to session time. A HydroPeel session takes approximately 60-75 minutes.
A HydroLED session takes about 75-90 minutes.
Is there any downtime or pain?
There is NO discomfort during the procedure. It is often described as feeling like a "cool paintbrush moving slowly over your face." Skin may appear slightly pink after treatment, but will quickly subside. You may put on make-up and return to normal activities right after the treatment as there is no downtime. You should always wear sunscreen daily and avoid direct sun for the next several days.
What results may be expected?
A HydroFacial improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, congested and enlarged pores, dry flaky skin, oily or acne-prone skin, hyperpigmentation like blemishes and brown sun spots.
How many treatments are needed to see results? How long do results last?
Many people see visible skin refinement and an even, radiant skin tone after just one treatment. Depending on your skin type and condition, the number and frequency of sessions will vary. A single treatment is perfect for those who need a fresh and glowing appearance for a special event or occasion. Raised bumps, more deeply pitted holes, and darker pigmented spots may require multiple HydroDerm sessions combined with professional peel treatments over an extended period of time. Improvement increases with every session. For those wanting to maintain healthy skin and a vibrant look, monthly treatments are recommended.
Rehydrate: Hyaluronic Acid is infused deeper into the skin, restoring hydration & plumpness.
What are the benefits of a HydroFacial?
Your skin is most beautiful when it’s healthy. Hydration, nutrition, and collagen are the foundation to healthy, radiant skin. UV exposure, as well as dehydration and skin irritants, have been proven to increase signs of aging. Triggered by repeated exposure to the elements, sun damage, smoking, pollution, and genetics, a decrease in the skin’s tone and texture can add unwarranted years onto a person’s appearance. Over time, both men and women develop discoloration, enlarged pores, fine lines and wrinkles. The good news is that skin has the ability to regenerate and renew itself. A HydroFacial will help restore your skin to its healthiest state by removing impurities, polishing outermost skin layer, and replenishing your skin with essential nutrients and hydration. A HydroFacial is not only effective at improving overall skin health, but also excellent for improving the appearance of:
Polish: a diamond tip pumice buffs skin smooth for a more even surface.
Exfoliate: enzymes loosen dry, dead skin cells, dirt & other debris to unclog pores.
Replenish: renewed skin is bathed in a custom blend of vitamins, antioxidants & peptides helping to restore skin health and beauty.
